HRSG Bypass Stack System
The gas turbine bypass system diverts flue gas from the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) in combined cycle mode to a bypass stack with a muffler assembly for operation in simple cycle mode. The HRSG can then be serviced as the diverter completely isolates it from the gas turbine.
HRSG systems require highly reliable and durable dampers for proper gas flow in both single-pressure and multi-pressure exhaust systems. As a power source for large buildings, industrial facilities and factories, HRSG bypass "chimney cap" dampers must support the precise exhaust flow necessary for the system to shut down or suspend operation effectively and efficiently when needed.
