Diverter Damper For Single Cycle

Diverter damper is usually applied to CCPP(Combined Cycle gas turbine Power Plant) Diverter damper’s purpose is to divert the flow direction in either HRSG or Bypass stack.

The diverter damper is a change valve with one entrance and two exits; the designed diverter damper is installed horizontally, which can facilitate the flue gas to flow into the HRSG horizontally or go into the bypass stack vertically; however the two exits of the diverter damper can’t be closed concurrently so as to ensure the combustor to run safely.

The equipment adopts the single-axis doubling piece hydraulic driver.

The advantages of baffle doors for single cycle are as follows

1. The diverter damper is a change valve with one entrance and two exits; the designed diverter damper is installed horizontally, which can facilitate the flue gas to flow into the HRSG horizontally or go into the bypass stack vertically; however the two exits of the diverter damper can’t be closed concurrently so as to ensure the combustor to run safely.

2. When the power plant needs to ensure the local electricity load but the waste heat boiler and turbine equipment need maintenance and repair, it can switch to a single cycle through the diverter damper, which will not affect the capacity of electricity generation, nor the maintenance and repair of the equipment behind the diverter damper.
