What is a damper?
Industrial dampers regulate, divert, isolate and shut down airflow or gases in process systems or enclosed spaces, typically at lower pressures, up to 1900 degrees Fahrenheit. Butterfly dampers can be manufactured in carbon steel or stainless steel, but for special applications we can use any material to meet your requirements, such as 800HT, 310S, Alloy 31, Alloy 59
Butterfly Type Main Stack Damper
The frame shall transfer all dead loads, induced wind shear load and wind moment load as calculated at the proposed location, consequentially the damper shell thickness shall be the same as the thickest stack shell in which it is located. The damper blades shall operate freely with any of the imposed calculated loads transmitted through the damper frame.
The HRSG Stack Closure Damper is provided to slow HRSG component temperature decay rate by limiting convective heat loss through the HRSG and stack following gas turbine shutdowns.
The Main Stack Damper adopts the butterfly type to open type structure, the structure is simple and reliable, compared with the louver type structure, the sealing perimeter is reduced obviously, and the sealing effect is better.
